I thought it had more to do with the fallacious insistence on referring to 15 and 16-year-olds as "children."

When did I say a 16-year-old was a child

No, I'm demolishing it. Spectacularly.
Get your head out from between your meaty thighs, you're really not.

You're parroting shit she already knows, which is exactly what she was arguing against. You weren't creating any sort of argument:
Her: This is the way it is, I disagree.
You: This is the way it is, therefore you're wrong.
Again, your wonderful inability to craft an argument
even when you probably have a legitimate point shows through in full fucking force.

stuff
Strangeblue is acting as though the age of consent is an irrelevance that can just be cast aside, and that a 15-year-old is mature enough to make this kind of decision. I disagreed. That's it. I don't know what your problem is.

Uh, hello, the student in this case is
fifteen?
Malygris on 12/11/2006 at 18:00
Which is why I said 15 and 16, since I'm taking it that one of Blue's points is that selecting an arbitrary date upon which a person is emotionally, intellectually, and legally ready to fuck is rather ridiculous.
SD on 12/11/2006 at 18:03
Well, you have to draw the line somewhere. 16 seems fair enough to me, and crucially, that's where the line is actually drawn. And it's not like this woman didn't know the rules. And while it's in no way as bad as if she had sex with a toddler, I don't see how anyone can defend her actions.

No, that's not it.
You're arguing that "That's the way it is, therefore that's the way it should be," as though you're actually making a point.
You may be on the right side of the argument, but you're still saying stupid shit in support of it.
As usual.

Well, before I "misunderstand" what anyone else's point is, I think it's only fair that Strangeblue tells us why she feels the age of consent law is flawed, and why she feels that it's okay for an adult in a position of trust to arbitrarily decide that those laws can be ignored at will. At least then I can actually, definitively know what I'm arguing against.
