No. But softening up the target before invasion is the usual way to invade and invading is what they have to do. They have to stamp out Hamas and words will not do it. They will lose the hostages. They will lose Palestinians who might have nothing to do with this atrocity. But those hostages are currently being raped and tortured anyway. It's sad. They will likely die. They likely will anyway. It's also necessary. Hamas has to be rooted out. The populace has to one day understand they cannot attack without being attacked back and vote in those who will not attack. They will learn to live and let live or they will die.
But of course you can blame Israel for existing if you want. Palestinians do.

And by stamping out Hamas they will create the next cycle. And that's precisely what people planning this are hoping for. You can't stop cycles of violence with ever more violence unless you take it to the logical conclusion and kill everybody. Though, sadly that seems to be something you're okay with.

You can't bend over for a rapist and think this rape will be the last. If they are already voting in the absolute worst then the next generation will be also anyway. When a population is already at their worst you do not fear that they will get worse in the future.

They don't. They do what they have to do and back off each time. They would only kill Hamas if they could. Not how the current level of tech exists. I do worry they won't stop when they get what they need to achieve peace again but we will see. One thing for sure is that they will be better than Hamas. Not hard to do really.

Did you know that nearly half of the people in the Gaza strip are children? Would that change anything you think about them? Probably not. You seem to be so invested in the narrative of the inherent evilness of them.
Do you think the people who have died in retaliation, including hundreds of children is a proportionate response and Israel is only doing "what they have to do"? What exactly did these children do in your mind that they deserved to be killed? Is it just because of their blood? Or is it because they are irreparably evil and must be exterminated?
