Yeah, some ugly incidents for sure. Things are very heated now. In the long term things will calm down though. It'll be miles away from what you stated: ‘they'll have to make a last stand in Israel, or all die'.
Western governments will prosecute any acts of violence/intimidation/terrorism in their own countries, as they should. Let's not exaggerate things too much as yet.

This is a bury our heads in the sand kind of statement. The will of Hamas must be crushed and the insurrection put down quickly and at all costs before it gets totally out of control. I mean it is laughable to a point that Yemen declared war on Israel but it won't be so laughable when other larger and more dangerous Arab countries join in. Also, with that logic shouldn't the Russia/Ukraine conflict have died down by now?

Just how do you expect the will of Hamas to be crushed?
This thread needs more realism and less hyperbole.

With their tanks and their bombs and their bombs and their guns...

Fill up the entire Gaza strip with US sailors and marines. That should do it.

I'm sure they'd just love it:

How does occupying Gaza crush the will of Hamas?
Israel occupied Gaza before. There were two intafadas and the first one resulted in the founding of Hamas.

I don’t see why it’s a ‘bury our heads in the sand kind of statement’ at all. Please enlighten me. I think you’ve misunderstood me - I was talking about the situation for Jews in the west. Ripped Phreak stated they won’t be safe now in the west; I was merely saying that is unlikely to really happen. They have support from all western governments and plenty of political clout. It is volatile and heated now with a few unhinged people doing crazy things.
I do agree however that the situation in the actual Middle East could spiral dangerously out of control.
What I take issue with is the ‘at all costs’ attitude. Really? Plus if most victims of Israeli bombings are innocent young civilians, you have to wonder if you are doing exactly what your enemy wants i.e. losing the optics battle.
The Russia/Ukraine war is a totally different situation. Not directly comparable imo.

It's absolutely fascinating (and by absolutely fascinating I mean completely unsurprising) how much the arguments stay the same:
