But isn't it a little funny that Israel is the only nation that could have sustained the sort of horrible attack they did and then have so many condemn them for it?
It's because Israel is a military superpower and Palestine is a refugee camp. Also, I don't see many serious people condoning the attack. Extremists on Twitter should be ignored.

Why is Israel a military superpower? Is it because Israel has to be? They have been attacked and won every time over the years. I would expect them to be a military superpower being attacked as much as they have. Wouldn't you?
Why is Palestine a refugee camp? Is it because they keep attacking and losing every time? Is it because they never learn? Is it because in spite of the millions in aid to them every year their leaders would rather spend it on weapons to attack and lose again than build a better society?
The answer to these questions is key to how both societies will be in the future.

Palestine is a refugee camp because they are being denied even basic things like food, water and medicine. Because somehow that makes Israel more secure. But, as the events have shown, if you keep people in prison and deny them any possibility for a future, that is fertile ground for the extremists to recruit from.

Compared to Palestine? Please refer to the disproportionate casualty diagram you insist on ignoring. Oh right...

See the above. Rinse and repeat.
You want it to be simple enough for Ripper Phreak to understand. It isn't. You point to a chosen moment of blame and say, 'There. They asked for it'. But what about the moment of blame before that? And the one before that? How far back do you want to go and is it relevant? It seems you are satisfied with enough justification to say that Israel can do no wrong.
The slow, inexorable and blood soaked provocation of the Likud Party = no problem. The savage response of Hamas = 'OMG. Think of the children.'
That's not the moral high-ground.

If the us-and-themers are left in charge, then it will be no different than it has been for the last four thousand years, obviously. Which means, there will be no meaningful change.

Since April of 2021, the Palestinians have received $500 million in aid. From JUST the United States. $125 million annually. There are 7.5 million Palestinians in Israel, Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. That's more than $16 million in aid to every man, woman, and child in Palestine yearly. WTF are they doing with that money? I'm sorry, but when you consider that Hamas gets an estimated $100 million yearly from Iran on top of that, if the Palestinian leadership or people were at all interested in peaceful coexistence or a two state solution, they'd be living in platinum tiled condos on diamond paved streets.

The US provided $3.8 billion to Israel, just in military aid, just in 2023. In 2022, it was $4.8 billion, and in 2021, $3.8 billion.

125x10^6/7,5x10^6=125/7,5~17$
If 125 BILLONS -> 17.000$ / year
Nicker on 14/10/2023 at 18:51
You are completely right, Draxil. The fact that corrupt operators in Palestine are misappropriating money is solid justification for Likud bombing civilians back to the stone age.
Thanks for that moment of moral clarity.

If the Likud were at all interested in peaceful coexistence or a two state solution, they'd stop trying to forcibly impose a single state solution.
The ultra-nationalists (inflamed by religious ideology) on both sides want a one state solution and neither has any hope of ever getting it.
Meanwhile nutbar christian nationalists in the USA love this war because it means that Jesus is on his way. In fact, we are just a couple of nukes away from Judgement Day, according to them.
Remember to send more money.

Oops! My bad. Apologies. $17 won't get you too much, I guess.
Starker on 14/10/2023 at 19:05
Not to mention that a not insignificant portion of that 17$ gets funneled into Israel's economy, due to the control they wield over Palestinian institutions.
