Isn't it horrible how quickly time starts to pass as you get older? More and more. It accelerates

No. Why it should be so?

I walk on the street and the light is good. Kind of misty. I grab my camera and take a picture, of nothing, just because. The light was good, that's enough.
Something in the air reminds me of a face long forgotten, of a trip long ago. Of the wind and the sand. Of the sea.
There is wind here too, but it is not the same. The sea is different. Less wild. You feel mankind's touch. The sea I remember was untamed and beautiful.
The waves crash on the shore and I'm staring at the horizon. A ship leaves port for some exotic destination, I decide not to take a picture this time. That image will stay in my memory.
Sometimes you wonder.
Sometimes you just remember.
And life just goes on.

by "isn't it just" what I mean is "isn't it just as you say?", more or less an abbreviated rhetorical question to which the implied answer is of course "yes".
it's rather akin to "tell me about it"
of course, that overlooks the fact that I was also employing sarcasm.

I watched a movie a few years ago, very good thing, I don't remember the title though. A guy who was owner of a shop, everyday took out his camera on holder, placed it before his shop and took pictures always in the same time on the same place. Somehow I remembered the movie right as I read what you wrote.
