I haven't played this game for over 10 years. There's alot of stuff I don't remember, but it's pretty familiar. I'm currently down on lvl 6 as a druid, moderate strenth, 24 attack, 25 sword, 17 casting, 21 mana, 24 lore. No other skills to speak of. I have died and resurrected a couple of times, from carelessness once and Rodric whupped me the first time. There just hasn't been very many challenges. I seem to be clearing each level without any difficulties except the puzzles. It just seems too easy. It's very nostalgic and still entertaining, but combat is a walk. Anyone else notice this?

Well, okay, the combats aren't really that difficult in UW... just like in the other Ultima games.
It's been ages since I last played UW as well... but what a game it is!
Hmmm... UW means Ultima Underworld, right? :erm:

Yup - but I do have to admit, it's gotten harder down on 7 -- no mana.

Well I opened my mouth too soon. 7 & 8 have taken forever - still no mana on 7 - can't find Garstang - can't find the crystal to break to orb - think I've found Garamon's bones -have explored everything on both levels - but don't know what to do. Guess I'll bury the bones, hope this gives me a hint. BTW have 2 of the 3 keys. Hate to look at a walk-thru, I won this game 12 years ago without one, but

Twisty -- too tired -- I have to go to bed. I think I've got 2 of the three - skull key from Tyball-- gold key on 7 from a mage's stash -- could be wrong though. Check back tomorrow.

I won UW yesterday. I had to go back to the prison on 7 and open locked doors I hadn't gotten into before killing Tyball. Then I got the keys. Sorry Twisty, I didn't have them before.

Jumped across to the north of the prison to get the K of Courage. Talked to Illomo to after Garstang to get the right chant for K of Truth. Gave Judy Tom's picture for K of whatever. Then it's off to bury the bones.
Never did find the orb crystal to break the mana eating orb on 7. Bummer.
