I think that's a downside:D
It doesn't matter for me anyway I play unarmored :)

I remember Striker posting a lateral thinking solution to how to get Divayth Fyr's armour without killing him...
It may have been on the official forums, though.

Courtesy of some dude I once knew from balmora.com:
1) Plan all of this through. If he starts to attack you and you don't want to use Calm Humanoid every time you see him, you're screwed. And he has a pretty high sneak skill, so you would want to make a few chameleon and fortify sneak spells before attempting this.
2) Cast disintegrate armor spells on him until every piece of armor he's wearing is unequipped. This will cause all of his Daedric armor to get zero condition and move into his inventory.
3) If you don't have the patched version of Morrowind, you can knock him unconscious and taqke the armor. However, if you have the patched version, you'll have to pickpocket him. If he is attacking you, calm him.
4) Steal the armor and repair it. Congratulations, Fyr is extremely pissed, but if you ever decide to do the main quest (who are you kidding, right?), you won't hit a brick wall on the Corprus quest. However, if you've already done the Blades missions, you've done the main quest through back path, or you don't plan on doing the main quest, you've just wasted quite a bit of effort to avoid killing a skooma addict.

One thing. If you use charm after calm humaniod then he won't
t attack you every time you see him. So you can do this before the mainquest if you want to.

oh! what are you talking about?:) whose hand is it? what kind of armor is it? is she a smith? what? when? where?
anyway i've tried to kill Fyr to see what items he has got. (of course i was planning to load it back. a message came to warn me when i finished him though) but it took too long... i just killed his girrrlfriend and recalled to the top of the closet next room. he came and summoned his storm atronach immediately. i used the scourge:D hehehe...
then i 've spent hours (our time) on the top of that closet, spent all of my potions, magicka, scrolls (he seemed not to be effected by spells though) and the only thing i could do was to wait my summon enchantments recharge and recharge and recharge:)
he fell on the ground and stood up several times. but at last he died, and came the warning message. but the only he had were those daedric armor (toooooo heavy for me) and a daedric daedric dagger. he had nothing enchanted!!!! (he resisted tens of dremoras and scamps, flame and frost atronachs, a clanfear and tens of skeletal minions and ghosts(just to keep him entertained while waiting for my items to recharge). i thought he has a constant effect restore health 50 pts per second or something+100% fire, frost, poison, shock resistance enchantments on him.
ooops sorry for my stupid story...i've lost myself....i was just trying to ask if you think those armors (i know the daedric ones but not the other) are better than glass also compared for their weights?:cheeky:

Bleh. Put on a set of Ebonies, Hand, Daedric, fuck, even Royal Guard and Orcish. Makes a full set of glass armor look like a toy.

Royal is only a little bit better than glass and glass is much better than Orcish, not counting the weight.
But glass do look like something of a toy.

the first time i saw someone wearing glass, i got close and looked at his armor for minutes...i liked it too much. but now u say...:(
i have a set of orcish but if i start using them, i ll need a flare to carry my other stuff... they are too heavy.. i just used the orcish shield for a while (it's cool)
and daedrics are kinda funny i think... specially the greaves...(there is one at the Dren plantation. i mean there was one:cheeky: and there was also an ebony cuirass)
the only place i like daedric armor is Fyr's ass!!! he must be the most charismatic NPC in the game!!!!
i won't even mention the ebonies. it is obvious they are made of stone...
the thing is, i cant get how u decide the glass armor is worse, as long as they have more armor rating and lighter than most of the others - ok i accept if u don't like the looks and don't use light armor...
i think i should get a constant effect bound cuirass+greaves+pouldrons+shield elchanted item... :tsktsk:
RyushiBlade on 25/5/2003 at 03:17
Constant effect bound... I've never actually tried that. Could be good.
... And Ebony is traditionally a hardened type of wood, though it's true it's as hard as a rock. Were you talking about weight again? Heh.
Kafein on 25/5/2003 at 04:29
yep... weight's a big problem for me:)
i knew it is a kind of wood but when i started this game i had to change my mind when i realised that it comes from mines  or maybe it is a kind of wood hardened underground. right?
actually i am dying for the armor that the fire atronachs wear!!!! but i don't think it is possible to have one. even if i can get one, i may need a 100% fire resistance to use them:) but fire atronachs are one of the most beautifully designed creatures in the game. hunger is another:) and also have you seen what frost atronachs do when they are alone (or when they think they are) they open their arms and turn their upper body left and right like surfing:laff: they look very cute like that... but they are cool(!) when they realise that i'm there...
