I use metal for my battle music and the normal sound from my explore music, the battle music was orginially very slightly different to the normal music so I could tell when I was in battle or not. There is one explore song which sounded almost exactly like the battle music and whenever that played looked around for an enemy and never could find it.

Hurrah! Now I can freak my brother out! He can be happily playing Morrowind when suddenly the Soviet National Anthem plays. I have, for some strange reason, a fully fledged military chorus version! I can't wait to see his face! :ebil:

Yeah i get the samn ol' feelings too, it can get boring listen samnthing depend on the moods. So i manage to get some good themes from "The Last Samurai, LotR II, etcs."
One song from "The Last Samurai" came out pretty cool, almost like TES:III, but different tunes. Hmm i think it called "To Know My Enemy".
Heh, one of my buddy playing a Redguard and he want to listen some rap music while playing. So i told him either the juke box or put some MP3 music files in the folders. Must be crazy listen to that rapping. Anyway i dont like rap just annoying and doesnt make any sense like having cigars in your mouth and talking 2x faster than normal, oh not mention all the spitting going on. I guess i call that BRAIN DAMAGE!
So some of them came out pretty cool in the game by pasting those MP3 formats in the correct folders, also renaming the old one with an "X" at the end so you dont lose them.
BTW i been looking for that theme came from the movie called "The Shinning" with JN play in it. The theme plays very first part of the movie and when you have a song/theme try to reduce the speed by 1/4 or 1/2 during playback, sometime it sound really cool but you may feels weird or feel slow. I wouldnt play it backward tho, it prob be worst than rapping.
