Is there a way to "Un-nail" furniture from the floor? I know you can pick up objects with "Z" but I want to drag furniture.. Did a search, but only found mention about being able to Use Z to move loose objects around.

No, not unless someone makes a mod to convert furniture to non-static objects. There's one or two mods that let you buy special "furniture" (display cases, mannequins) and place it where you want, but none that I know of for the stuff that's already in the game.
