I've heard that there's a bug the means that if you don't wear at least one piece of armour your defence (based on Unarmored skill) is not applied correctly to attacks. Is there any fix for this aside from wearing a piece of armour?

This sounds like something that can only be fixed in a patch (Not a plugin). The latest patch still has this as a problem, IIRC. I doubt another patch will be released either.

Even with the expansions?
Damn, I really wanted a totally unarmored character. I wonder if it's possible to use the editor to make an invisible piece of armor (just shows your clothes underneath)?

You could potentially make a pair of pants behave like armour (or something). Perhaps you should just put some armoured Netch leather boots on and be done with it! :)

Is this a confirmed bug or just a popular rumor? From the wording of this thread's posts it doesn't sound like it's a sure thing.

I can't confirm it. But I've seen it mentioned several places and I've never seen it contradicted, so I think it's accurate.
Both parrying weapons (Assassin's Armoury) and wigs (Metal Queen Boutique) are armor, so it hasn't been causing me huge problems yet.
