Three links you should have, regarding the SDK:
1) The link (from PlanetDeusEx.com's "Deus Ex 1 Files" section) to the Fileplanet Download of the "Final SDK" - make sure you have the most recent version of Deus Ex. The patch number is 1.112, which will successfully patch version 1.112fm. No, it doesn't make sense. At least...not unless you know the chaotic patching history of the game.

3) Tack's Deus Ex Lab - Steve Tack is well-known as THE authority on modding for Deus Ex, although other highly repsected, or at least well-known modders in the game include Dr.Dumb_Lunatic, Synapse, TheSheep, TheRenegadeMaster, Phasmatis, and others.
