That is normal, because as far is I know the zoneportals aren't used within the editor-renderer. But there is no need for that window to run like liquid anyway... ;)

Actually they are.
Flick into wireframe mode in the Flesh mode and you can see the portals having an effect.
In general though, and in the Unreal layer, no, I don't think they are. Part of why I'm meticulous (and perhaps over-zealous) about visibility-groups.

Funnily enough, my flesh + realtime preview works very smoothly. I did once get a big (and reproduceable) slowdown when I put a candle on a chair, which was odd.

T3Ed is unuseable -- I keep getting BSP problems and HoM effects, I sont know what I'm doing wrong and after successfully using ExEd and UT2Ked I've come to the conclusion that the editor is buggy, so for me unusable at the moment.

What you are talking about is rather Flesh's bsp than T3ED's stability. It really takes some time to handle the bsp the right way, but don't give up yet. I know it is frustrating, but you will be able to manage it....

I've been working with t3ed now for about 3 hours without any crash!!!! :) I am really motivated again!!! The "only" thing i did was a complete reinstall of my whole system. And with complete I mean complete. And with whole system I mean whole system. ;) Took me very long to reinstall all the stuff, but I needs to be done about every 3 years or so...

:D Wow, I do a complete reinstall 'every' four months. That's probably why I don't run into a lot of the problems I read about on here. Even with Windows Server 2003, I find that 4 months is about the right time to reformat. Once you get used to doing it, it doesn't seem like as much of a hassle.

Mine seems to crash regularly when i'm trying to open .unr's, even simple one room jobs.
I've only just started and i don't know if this is a solveable problem? It's irritating the crap out of me as T3Ed seems way better to use than DromEd.
my sys is:-
p4 2.4GHz, 1GB RAM, GeForce 6800 128Mb AGP, ~2Gb of free HDD space, SB Audigy 2, WinXP sp1 (hooky)
