Oh, and here's something positive. No, the Uvirith mods don't need Tribunal. And here's a little run down:
(http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/mods/mods_sql.asp?modchoice=dl&modid=698&modpage=1&sortby=&searchby=title&searchval=) Uvirith UnleasedThis mod expands and renovates all three levels of the Tower of Tel Uvirith. Instead of that little hovel the Telvanni jam you into when you finish your stage III stronghold, you will now have a tower that makes Tel Naga look like a cottage.
- Two new companions, one of which you have to Quest for.
- Grand entrance that rivals the largest Telvanni towers, fully guarded by Fire Centurians.
- Fully stocked Mages Study featuring Ghost's famous Alchemical Jars and Lap's Inscription capabilities.
- Trophy room covered in tables and mannequin niches, wall to wall.
- Deleted that annoying root wrap that prevented easy levitation from floor to bedroom, upstairs.
- Two new spellbooks, each teaching a unique spell.
- Black robe, cloak, and boots. All new textures and meshes. Fully unique.
- Massive dungeon with an underground lake and waterfalls.
- More features inside, but I'm not going to give the whole thing away.
Download and enjoy. As always, just email me with questions or concerns. Guaranteed fully compatible with Green Uvirith and Uvirith Vault. This file requires winRar to open, rather than winZip. Available free from: (
http://www.rarlabs.com/)
updated: 8/28/02
Version 1.2 is NOT compatible with version 1.0, due to scripting changes and dialogue upgrade. If you have already installed and used version 1.0, continue to do so. Very few changes in this version would affect you, as most refer to the Quest. If you have never used 1.0, then feel free to download and enjoy the revamp.
Version 1.2 notes
- Modified a great deal of dialogue, both for grammatical errors and logic issues. Too many instances where the dialogue just didn't make sense for the NPC it was attributed to.
- Modified journal entries to reference the corrected dialogue and corrected spelling errors.
- Azrohaelu should no longer wander into the lava and take a bath. This was killing the entire Quest for people because you would end up at a dead end when you couldn't speak to him.
- Sara will now share her Spellbook with you.
- Repaired the pathing in all 4 (four) cells. NPC's should no longer become stuck on walls or in hallways. This does not include Uvirith's Grave, because I want to leave the exterior alone with this particular mod. The only modification to the outside is via the door teleport to the interior.
- Increased the difficulty of the combat scene.
- Added more storage to the trophy room and removed the tables from the niches. This frees up those areas for armor mannequins.
- Replaced the dead Imperial woman with a custom NPC that is not persistant. This means you may want to loot her within 2 (two) days of installing this version to avoid losing everything on her.
- Increased the ambient lighting in the tower proper. (Tel Uvirith, Tower Lower and Tel Uvirith, Tower Upper)
(http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/mods/mods_sql.asp?modchoice=dl&modid=35&modpage=1&sortby=&searchby=title&searchval=) Tel Uvirith StrongholdThis plug-in adds a considerable amount of new objects and containers to the Telvanni Player Stronghold, Tel Uvirith. Additionally, there are a few new NPCs that offer services not found previously at the tower.
The first is Arshes Nei, a dark elven Guild Guide that will teleport you to Caldera, Balmora, Sadrith Mora and Vivec. To get back to Tel Uvirith, you must go to the Guild Guide in Balmora. Additionally, this lady also enchants items for you and will buy some of the really expensive items as well as she has a considerable amount of gold on her.
Nuzzgrond is a Master-of-Arms and is a good trainer for those wizardly types that need to work on their sword arm.
Finally, down in the dungeon is Mzulecht, the Steam Centurion Armorer. Mzulecht was re-engineered by Telvanni Enchanters and is not only a powerful Guardian for Tel Uvirith, but is also a Blacksmith. Go to him to have all your weapons and armor repaired.
There are a few other little secrets lying about that I won't spoil for you here. I would love to get some feedback on this Stronghold.
(http://www.angelfire.com/realm/thaegbird/morrowind/greenuvirith.zip) Green Uvirithwhen i got my telvanni stronghold at uvirith's grave i thought it looked realy cool. IMHO the tower itself rulez, but the surroundings where realy disapointing. there where almost constant duststorms and i hated the surrounding ashlands with its blighted beasts everywhere around. also i had to waste a lot of time running back and forth between sadith mora and my stronghold so i decided to make a mod to change all of this.
This plugin/mod turns the area around your telvanni stronghold at Uvirith's grave into a lush oasis surrounded my high hills and deep waters. the ash on the ground has been traded for grass, the ash-trees for real trees and the stones for flowers. right next to the stronghold is a deep canyon with a silt strider you can use to travel to various locations.
also since you, as arch-magister, are the most powerfull wizzard on Vvardenfell i think your tower and the area around it should reflect that, so Tel Uvirith is now much bigger with 4 new houses, a tavern at the towns enterance, a smith to repair your stuff, a guard house and 3 guard towers all with there own interior, and your very own observatory!
also there is now a mages guild in town with its own guild guide to make traveling even more easy. (there are also rumors of a thiefs guild in town, but it is well hidden) there is also a new book telling about the founding of Tel Uvirith.
i added nothing that would unbalance the game in any way. all i did was make you enjoy your stronghold a lot more enjoyable.
==>>IMPORTANT<<==
if you do not yet have your level 3 telvanni stronghold do NOT install this mod! i haven't yet had time to script everything to aprear only when your stronghold is at level 3 so even if you have NO stronghold all the changes i made will come into effect resulting in some very strange bugs.

My verdict? I reckon Green Uvirith is a bit ugly. The landscape is to obviously carved. I don't care too much for Uvirith Unleashed, either, but only because I'm funny about houses and it clashed with my own mod for the tower. It adds quite a bit of functionality, and enlarges it considerably. It's probably your best bet. I included Tel Uvirith Stronghold because that's what I use - at least, used to use. I took it as my base and customised it to make the stronghold exactly as I like it. It's got a useful services-type chappy in the entrance hall.

Haha, thanks Myoldnamebroke. And nice job, I was going to have a look at those mods too, as well as Vivec Abode, but... my internet is acting up again and I didn't have much time. But Tel Uvirith sounds pretty cool. I could always make Green Uvirith look better (the hard bit has already been done, right?)
I do have a question about the mods. Do all three work together without any problems?
Myoldnamebroke on 31/5/2003 at 19:01
Green Uvirith will work with either, and the two mods to the stronghold itself will function but give you some odd glitches. I wouldn't combine those, but you're fine to go with Green and one of the others.

THANKS!!! i can't believe this...:D those mods sound really good... the environment is important ...yepp... today, i was flying to the tower and just came from a bit north... and saw that, just beyond the hills, there is heaven... blue sky, green grasses, flowers, palm trees, (and an ogrim - it was my first time to see an ogrim...he was so cute but i had to kill him) but just two feet south is ashlands... and the tower is there:( that's not fair... and yes, the most powerful wizard of Vvanderfel should have the power to edit his stronghold!!! actually i just want a big room, with all the closets, mannequins, tables, bed, etc in it (like velothi towers) ... i can't stand flying around like butterflies (since he has to wear a disgusting pink robe for it's enchantments, he really looks like a butterfly:()...
if "upgrading" is the three steps of the building process, yes it's already finished, the last thing was to take her a book about centurions from the galen daeus..
i did it and building has finished but i think u say, if i visit her again, it will get larger?, and become level two?, and the number of the people living there will increase?... that's what i thought but doubted...
and i've finished the bal isra quest, but it's location is not much better then tel uvirith... still ashlands... even worse...
actually i m not fully comfortable with the idea of customising the tower from head to toe... but there should be at least a slit strider, teleport or guild guide and a larger green land around the town... and some more houses, shops etc around... (if it is stil not changing it head to toe) to look like a real town...Uvirith Unleased+Green Uvirith would be great i think...
thank u very much for all the opinions... each of them are useful... but please don't let that argument go on... u make me feel guilty
:tsktsk:

yes it's already finished
Well then you're done. All strongholds are at level 3, and now all you have to do is install the mods that you pick out, either Green Uvirith and Uvirith Unleashed / Tel Uvirith or Centurion's Redoran Stronghold Expansion.
still ashlands... even worse...
At least there aren't lava streams and atronachs randomly roaming about. And I think that there is a sort of strange beauty to the ashlands, at least after you modregion the ash storm chance to 10% or so. Here's the commands you should use if you want to go through with it. The first set has a 10% chance of ash storms and an added 5% chance for a thunderstorm. The second set has a 10% chance for ash storms, but no thunderstorms. The third set has absolutely no ash storms or thunderstorms. The first command is for Ashlands and the second command is for Molag Amur.
modregion "Ashlands Region" 20, 25, 15, 25, 0, 5, 10, 0
modregion "Molag Mar Region" 10, 10, 35, 30, 0, 5, 10, 0
modregion "Ashlands Region" 20, 30, 10, 30, 0, 0, 10, 0
modregion "Molag Mar Region" 5, 15, 40, 30, 0, 0, 10, 0
modregion "Ashlands Region" 20, 35, 20, 25, 0, 0, 0, 0
modregion "Molag Mar Region" 10, 15, 40, 35, 0, 0, 0, 0
Also, Redoran architecture pwns.
Kafein on 1/6/2003 at 08:55
thank u...
the thunderstorms are more acceptable i think(although they are too noisy) but i hate ashstorms... thanks again for the patches...:thumb:

Just as an aside, can I say-Exile, you really need to watch it. You've been getting increasingly abrasive for some time, and now you're resorting to personal abuse, which tends to be poorly tolerated here. The mods and admin. take a pretty laid-back approach to policing the forums most of the time, but don't mistake that for laxity.
This forum is, for the most part, a friendly and fun place to be, and we don't need this kind of thing ruining the atmosphere. I can't tell you what to do, but I will ask you; please, in the future, would you watch your tone and start being more respectful?
Striker on 1/6/2003 at 23:41
Yeah, what Jordana said... :grr:

Sorry, but Ryushi is getting incredibly annoying. Today he IM'ed me during a game of HL. I timed out and lost sound, so I had to restart the app, by which time the entire server was empty. I tried to block him, but because of fucking Trillian not being able to fetch an AIM server that can block people...
Besides, why should I respect someone who hasn't earned that respect in any way, and has even managed to lose whatever little respect he had by IM'ing me with some Dragonball-Z-inspired nick to talk about his feelings.
Jordana on 2/6/2003 at 00:28
I do think you overreact to Ryushi, in that your responses to his posts seem disproportionately aggressive. I really don't think he's deliberately trying to piss you off.
In any case, you need to maintain at least a reasonably respectful tone towards others while you're posting here on the open forum, because otherwise the place gets soured by endless personal squabbles and sniping, and that's really, really tiresome for the rest of us.
If you have personal issues with Ryushi, you should deal with them off forum, by PM, email, or whatever. Please, try not to let it keep trickling over into these threads? :)
