I always feared it would happen. Those Silt Strider guys and the shipmasters move around too much when you're not looking. When I arrived at the dock outside of the Vivec Foreign Quarter, I saved my game without thinking (it's become an automatic reflex for me whenever I enter an area, what with the random crashing and all), and then realized that the shipmaster was gone. He had fallen into the water below the dock and eventually his body went still; dead.
Is there any way to bring him back, via a cheat or whatever? Normally I would shake my head, curse my idiocy and move on. But for once, I wasn't responsible for this guy's death, it was the game and its many bugs. I'm sure I'll kill him in a fit of rage in the future, but it'd be nice to have him back until that happens...

Try this:
"ano andaram"->resurrect
If that doesn't work, try this:
placeatpc "ano andaram" 1 64 0
(let us know if that 1st one works?)

Alas, the first command didn't work, but the second did. Yay! Once again I can travel with ignorance; for a while there I feared I would actually have to explore Morrowind. Dodged the bullet, eh.

*grin* Grats ;) That 1st one must only work on critters, as it's used to bring this one ancestral ghost back over and over until you solve the quest it relates to. (that should be sufficiently vague that only those who know the quest will recognise it...)
