I was curious what would happen if I got all the artifacts together and took them to Dragoth Ur with corpus so I saved the game just as I recived the desease and then spent around six hours hunting down the three artifacts (Wraithguard took me the logest to get ahold of) once I collected all of them I started my treck back to him and about halfway there my mom asked me to to go to the grocery store and get some stuff not seeing anything could go wrong I paused the game and went to the store. When I came back my sister was on the computer and was surfing the net. When she got off to my horror I discovered she had overwrote the same game I mentioned earlyer. So I need to know is there anyway to restore a previous game I relly dant want to have to restart especially when i have collected all the dadric, dwemer, and daedric quest items legitly.
please help me

Hm... I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is, there isn't a way to restore a game that's been overwritten.
The good news is I just saved a ton of money by switching to Geiko.
(No, seriously though. Is there an older save file? Autosave, possibly?)

I don't know if this will work, but if you have Norton utilities installed, it creates something called 'norton protected recycle bin', and that has a utility which lets you search for recently deleted files and then restore them. You have to specify at least the name or type of file you want to restore, otherwise you get a list of hundreds of files which are quite unidentifiable. Anyway, once you find your file, you may have to rename it or something- I suspect it won't let you have two files with the same name in one directory. You could move or rename the save that's already in your MW directory before trying this.
As I said, it may not work, but I did manage to restore a file I previously deleted - but it wasn't a MW save game.
Let us know if it works!
