Ive heard lot about ghostgate but i havent gone there myself, should i or should i not.....:tsktsk:

If you mean is it really huge and impressive and splendiferous (lol), well, sorry, it's not that special.
If you mean are there unique items there, that can only be gotten there, well, sorry, there aren't.
If you mean is Ghostgate the only way to get inside the ghostfence, well, sorry, there are other ways (at least one that I found.)
That said, sure, go check it out. At least you'll get to see the Ghostfence, which is pretty neat. And Ghostgate is the most straightforward way to get into Red Mountain, so you might want to pop inside, just to see the nifty red sky and red blightstorms. :)

I thought Ghostgate was worth the visit.
Just to stand below the two towers and look through the gate and at the ghostfence was great; a real athmospheric treat. From what I had heard about Ghostgate, the Ghostfence and Red Mountaind I was really anxious to get there; it doesn' really live up to reality but the roleplaying aspect is fantastic.

Going to Ghostgate very early in the game got me alot of nice glass armor and was well worth the trip (which took a load of potions by the way). I was very low level at the time but had the sign of the shadow so once I finally made the trek to Ghostgate, I found a nice empty room with a bed, turned invisible, snuck downstairs grabbed a piece of the glass armor, ran back to the room, slept for 24 hours and went back for another piece.
Thank God I could just recall my way back home. But not before I took a long strut around the place in my new outfit. You should have heard the whistles!

You can get each of the 3 deadric helmets in various caves around Vvardenfell. I don't know what caves, but I'm sure Forsythe will pop in here and tell you where. :)
