just curious, I saw it at EB for that much and was wondering if it was worth it. I liked about half the first game, but after hong kong it got a little boring in places.

Finish the first one, then ask.
...unless you played through the parts you considered "boring," in which case $7 to play something else you might consider boring isn't such a bad deal. But I'd much rather you buy a bunch of my old "boring" games if you're so willing to do things you don't like.

I wasn't saying I didn't like it. I was just saying that the paris levels and the last level weren't as exciting or fun as the new york and hong kong levels. it just got a little too easy once I got my run fast implant up to full power.

Totally go for it, but dont expect Deus Ex 2. DXIW largely improves upon dx1's micro freedom, aka how many ways you can overcome any given situation or obstacle. But DX1, due mostly to larger levels, has greater macro freedom, aka how you get somewhere. It also has a better story than DXIW. DXIW also manages to overcompensate some of DX's shortcomings. And finally, DXIW has much less dynamic and noticable music, and is instead much more ambient and subliminal.
Its better than the average game, to be sure, but it doesnt reach the overall summable greatness of Deus Ex.

Invisible War is worth $7 IMO. Just don't expect a "worthy successor" to the original. There's more "plot freedom" and "situational freedom" but way less "character freedom"- almost all the customizability and skill stuff is completely gone, and a shame too. The levels are also very small, way too small in the cities to suspend disbelief, and the game is about half as long as the original.
Still, some really neat moments, especially as the plot builds up to the endgame.

Dude, $7 dollars for a PC game isn't going to blow your bank account. DX IW is worth playing just as much as the original. Get it. Enjoy it.
