Nah, I bet it will be something like Thief Revolution, Rise of the Thief, Thief Absolution, Thief Infinite, Thief Returns, Thief Unleashed, Thief Party, etc. Not to mention there's always the good old "reboot with the same name" option.

How about "ThIIef"? ;)
Anyway, I do think Thief's stealth gameplay could translate to exciting movie scenes as well. Lots of spy movies have had these scenes. The Mission Impossibles, James Bond movies, and, um, Hudson Hawk? Ace Ventura?

However I don't think there's been a movie yet where the action scenes were primarily about stealth, rather than shooting or punching dudes, and I think it could work!

That's excellent, henke.

I would use a stronger way of saying 'not true' but you still can't swear here, is that right? In case Jesus or Will Smith gets sad or something?
Correct. :)
There are only a very few completely unacceptable words, though.

Well the key element to make this stealth segments work would be good, tensful music. But I would guess a Thief movie would feel more like me playing Dishonored, being stealthy and not killing enemies for 10 minutes than going on a bloody rampage.
Concerning the title for the sequel to the Thief reboot : my guess would be Thi5f or Revenge of Thief; best stupid title would probably be Thief 2: the dark age, that would confuse even more people who don´t even understand the order of the games atm.

The Thief IP is more challenging than Tomb Raider or Silent Hill because it relies so heavily on atmosphere, which only the most skilled film makers can pull off.
Then again I'm sure around release time there will be a wave of shills to promote the film followed by an abrupt departure just like with the 2014 game's release. Then their blogs will cease to be updated and the few of us already here will probably still be around talking about old games :p

Well on a more positive note, there might be a silver lining to all this. More people might get curious about the franchise in general and play the old games. I think we got a few new members here as a result of Nu Thief

Truth.

Imagine how many new members a good sequel would've brought, though.
