I did some test-savegame enchantments with "absorb magic - const. effect" Ok, its superduperexpensive, but thats something else. I want to have my magic refilled, but i only get from time to time a "you resistet that magic" And having a weakness 25%-30% for EVERYTHING, that seems a bit confusing to me.
Any further info apriciated.

AFAIK, it's an all or none type deal. Either you absorb the whole spell, or not at all. As far as the magnitude, with 50 absorb (atronach) most lowlevel spells are absorbed, but not always. High level spells almost always hit you.
Recently I made myself a cuirass with the editor that gives 20 extra absorb, and I'm finding that I absorb a greater percentage of spells now, but many of the higher ones still hit me.
BTW- in the other thread you said the effects don't stack linearly. They do. :p

Mhh, will have to try enchanting every armorwith absorb. Perhaps that will work - when i manage to raise the funds for that.
Are you sure about that "stacking" ?? Sadly i cant find it, but someone posted a formular (perhaps its been on the elderscroll-forum) that said something like "you have to have more than e.g. 120points in total stacked to get a real 100%

Hrm.. might they have been referring to the odds of absorbing all magic, MM?

You mentioned getting the funds to enchant? Save the game and drop the gem on your character, choose create, set everything the way you want, and then click create. This will only work if your Enchant level is high enough and I f your intelligence* is high enough. If it doesn't work, then you know your stats are not high enough. A Master trainer training you to 100, will cost less than One CE enchant. As for Intelligence,* you figure it out:)
Just my$.02

@Forsythe: May be so. Im not sure. You know, that stupid thing called memory. :cheeky:
@Mel: Cant tell for sure, but some people testet it the way you said and chances where so, that int, luc etc had to be at 1500. well, my int and wil is at 100 as a pure mage and thanks to some enchantments even at 200 :ebil:
But values like that mentioned bevor can only gained by cheating, so i fear its not of a possible solution. (and getting items that are 100.000 is not the problem - get a golden saint soul and everything he has and voila. only SELLING is hard, but perhaps in tribunal there is some better merchant.

Hmm, drinking potions is cheating? I never knew...

Oh, sorry. Thought you meant something with constant Effect. Well, seems paranoia is still working

If you are a good alchimist as well as a good enchanter you can enchant anything you want. Just make and drink 20 potions of fortify inteligence and luck then you are ready to enhant anything with golden saints.
I dont think this is cheating either, but geting to be a master alchimist requires some nasty work.
