Sup, I just got this game a short while ago and installed it on a WinXP PC, the game does everything fine (running, displaying, etc) except to the point where I try to complete the second mission (UNATCO Headquarters) - I go to the south boat dock to complete the primary objective handed to me, and once I do, nothing happens.
The next level doesn't load up, absolutely nothing. I just sit there.
I've even restarted the level in order to find anything I might have missed the first time around that could have kept me from advancing.
Patch 1.014f is installed, and running -
I've tried downgrading my game display properties but that hasn't helped.
What else can I do to fix this?
Any help would be appreciated.

I remember somthing about this kind of thing happening to non-legit copies of the game... Anyway, did you go up to the police boat in the dock? You must "board" it (i.e.: bump into it) to proceed.
Hope this helps.

If it IS Legit 'use' the boat (right click) as you would to talk to people. If the copy is a downloaded copy this bug will oucur. There is no fix so go and buy it.

Ho ho ho, the joys!!!
I haven't seen one of these for ages.
Now, all you need to do is go speak to Superfly Johnston...

If you downloaded the game, go suck a dead donky's dick. You can get the game for $10, and it's worth many times that.
If you bought the game, or it came bundled, is it the "Limited Edition?" If it is, then you got gyped. Some asshole company published the demo version of the game and sold it in stores.

It'll be free on the cover DVD of January's CGW magazine.

Well there is a way through that. Do a search around the various Deus Ex forums out there.
And for rest of you, I found that by accident actually. I was looking for the OpenGL "patch" and came across it. If you don't believe me, I can glady give you a shot of myself with the game and as proof, tell me to write something on a piece of paper and hold it up.
