Iran is gonna end up the same way as Iraq did, but possibly more cleverly dealt with. I don't think US can actively involve themselves in another war, if they aren't attacked first, but Iran does have 4% of world's oil production though...

Iran will find itself in zugzwang, to further the chess analogy.
The radical Islamists who want to promote Islam worldwide want politicians in power who will create policies to promote further conflict. It bolsters the radical factions notion that they are in a Jihad with Christianity and the decadent west.Going into Iraq was a gold mine for these guys.It keeps the polarization going.

If it was up to me, We'd just fly over Iran with a whole crapload of bombers and turn the entire country into a giant mirror. I'm sick of us letting all these people out there complain about how were evil and were the devil, when we actually support so many countries with foreign aid (much to my chagrin) and do our best to help warring countries negotiate peace. (also much to my chagrin)
(I'm pretty sure chagrin means annoyance.)
For those who don't understand, sand can be turned to glass when it gets hot enough.

Dude, where have you been?
We are the devil now.

Peanuckle's post was delicious satire, right?
