Think about it!
Back in the 70’s they took American’s hostages.
Carter did a semi rescue attempt.
Then they let them go when Ronnie was a sure win the election.
Now they are doing the same thing but this time with our friends the British.
They know that President Bush can’t run again as President.
So now they are trying to divide the UK against Tony and US (and of course it will be our fault).
We are spending Billions of dollars so we can avoid using nukes.
They are spending Billons so the can have the nukes so they can use them.
They are betting that Hillary will win.
If she does win.
God bless her.
I just hope she will have the fortitude and the guts if need be.

I agree that somebody is playing head games, although I think the desired effect/outcome is something other than what you have in mind. I'm not informed enough to know what that desired effect is, but I know enough to infer that you're not exactly on the right track.

Things tend to be a little more complicated than that...

Well, I certainly don't blame them for not wanting another republican in office, seeing how much they appear to pick war as the first solution, although, I'm seeing good things in the other candidates.

Spending billions of dollars to avoid using nukes? I think not. We have so many nukes it's not even funny. Any nukes we make from here on out are not for deterrence - there can't BE any more deterrence, we already have the power to nuke the world a hundred (or two, or three) times over. Any nukes being made now are being made either A. to feed the military industrial complex (most likely explanation) or B. to be used.
And how exactly do you know Iran wants to use nukes? They may zealots but you have to be downright suicidally bonkers to actually use a nuke - anyone who does will have every nation in the earth crush them into itty bitty tiny bits, and then control/police what is left of them till the end of time. Even the USA couldn't get away with using a nuke without SERIOUS repercussions.

Are you actually questioning whether radical muslims can be suicidal?
I think when the President of any country publicly refers to his desire to "wipe another country off the map," it's safe to assume he's a bit radical. Let's just hope the world doesn't collectively figure that out too late.

My personal thinking on the Iran nuke issue, is that there is one and only reason their making nukes, and that is to nuke Israel. They hate that country with a vengeance.

Lots of chess pieces are being moved around. Iran has been waging a proxy war against the US and coalition forces (no secret there) and the US has stepped up the saber rattling to see how Iran reacts. US carrier group(s) in the Persian gulf are simulating air wing attack group sorties which are launched from the carriers and then they fly toward Iran and turn around just as they reach Iranian air space. Very provocative and it makes the mullahs soil their pants.
N. Korea held 17 US sailors for about 9 months back in 1967(?). So those poor Brit prisoners are in for a no-so-fun holiday in Tehran.
Lhet:
Republicans are no more inclined to use military force than democrats. A good example was Clinton backing the autocrats in Brussels and sending shitte wads worth of men and material to Bosnia - where US forces flying under UN colors bombed out every bridge along the Danube save one, strafed farms and villages and left close to 2 tons worth of depleted uranium dispersed across the country.
Brussels backed the KLA and what did we get? KLA muslims pillaging and plundering Bosnian villages, burning out churches and opening a drug trafficking pipeline that runs from the opium fields in Afghanistan to the chem labs in Netherlands. No matter what the EU says, the Serb people didn't deserve to be dispossessed of their homes, personel property and murdered. All under the watchful eye of UN peacekeepers. Thanks Kofi.
I'm not backing the republicans here, I just want people to drop the " my team is better than your team" bullflop. Politicians are self serving prigs who have nothing better to do than feather their own nests. That includes Bush and his whole bloody family.

If this is going to be a replay of 1979, then Iran escalating its provocation over the next year will play into the hands of Giuliani in the election, I'd think (or maybe McCain, either before the Democrats).
It's hard to know what political capital the war on terror has on people, these days, though ... people are so burnt out on it. They'd rather think the election is about immigration or something.

Yeah, let's face it, Gore would have invaded Iraq too.

Or maybe it's about the enviroment! Because there is nothing more that Americans care about! HAHAHAHAHAHA
I'm sorry, it's late and my sense of humor is broken.
