If Mr.Duck hasn't seen to your mom yet, he will soon.
I've read duckman's post about five times and I still don't know what he was trying to get across with it.

I refuse to buy an ipod no matter how popular they become. Why? Because the whole deal feels like a monopoly to me and I'm not going to contribute to any corporation's plans for global market domination. "Ipod" has become synomonous with portable mp3 player. Now there's the whole "podcasts" thing on top of the itunes? It just doesn't sit right with me that apple should be able to almost completely corner this market. In fact, I figured that's what the thread title was referring to: how we're all being bombarded and pressured to buy only from "the company store".

I don't own one because I'm very cheap and whenever I'm walking around I'll have songs playing in my head anyways, without any need to fiddle around with that stupid circular interface.

I don't need no social interactions, whenever I'm walking around I'll have voices in my heads anyways, without any need to fiddle around with that stupid circular interface.
