Looks like I'm guilty as well, what with having an iPod since 2003 (I like to think that was just before they went from cool to common).
The responses on the macworld forum and also over at slashdot say it all, really. The fact is, in China there's no shortage of potential workers and so holding down even a low paid job is better than nothing.
In saying that though, gradually the lifestyles of workers in the cities near the coast are improving and wage demands are going up - there's even talk of employee benefits. Manufacturers are having to trawl the countryside in order to keep picking up affordable labour.

Dudes, like everything we buy is made in a sweatshop. I really don't see the news here.

I see sarcasm here. Large quantities!
And I'm guess I'm saint because I don't even have a cellphone

I've got the SanDisk Sansa e260.
So, I feel ok with myself.

And on that note, you have to admit the iPod has the catchier name :weird:
My Creative Zen Nano attests to that. Plus it :angel:s me

There's just something not right about this thread. I mean I know by now what to expect from a TTLG thread which mentions politics or kiddie fiddlers, but this thread makes me uneasy.
