Since the last iphone thread was an abomination and to celebrate recently getting one for work (wheeee!) I thought I'd get some opinions on the best (free) apps for this badboy.
So far I have:
- facebook
- citrix (for work, boooo)
I've only had it a day though and am looking around at sites to get a feel for what apps I'd make use of.
I'm liking the looks of:
- (
http://www.urbanspoon.com) urbanspoon
- (
http://www.fring.com/default.asp) fring
It seems like all the decent free personalised radio station apps are restricted to US only which is a bit shit.
Anyway, throw down your reccs in here and I'll load 'em up.
Might splash out on (

Jazz FM (niice), Flixster Movies, Last.FM and GymBabes ( who doesn't want to watch girls running? )
All fairly self explanitory. I'd give you nice links but I'm on my iPhone :p
UrbanSpoon is worth a look but I don't know what the Aussie restaurant coverage is like.
For anyone in the UK looking to buy or rent houses, the RightMove app is also aces.

One of my professors was playing some old Frank Zappa in class and was challenging us to guess who it was. One of my classmates broke out his iPhone with this app and within a few seconds had the answer.
I have to admit, though I think iPhones are horribly overpriced (but then again, what isn't these days; iPod/Zune, I'm looking at you), it made me want one.

It seems okay
ish as it seems to group a lot of places into Greater Brisbane anyway... Worth a gander I'm sure.
Keep 'em coming.

If only it did classical music :(

Stanza and Wattpad - both ebook apps, both supply a lot of classic sci-fi for free! (between the two you can get most phillip k dick, frederik pohl, heinleim etc). and they are both free!
Oh yeah and the London Bus app actually makes london navigable by bus, which can be pretty useful. Also there's toilet finder, but I only installed that to bait the anti-iphone spazzes.

I like eReader, which is free but you then have to download eBooks for it - you can find free ones all over the shop, though.
