Well, maybe they're fairy dust to you - but I always ended up with my "party members" maxed out, so I had spare weapon mods.
Bull. I've scrounged out and purchased almost every weapon mod in the game, and it's just enough to max out the stats on, at best, one weapon, with a secondary weapon nicely buffed up but not maxed.
Ziemanskye on 6/11/2005 at 17:01
I'll admit maybe not maxed - it has been a while, but definately high enough (without cheating) that I couldn't think of what to do with any I found after about
vandenburg
.

Errr, I think you are wrong Zylon and Ziemanskye is right (lol, T3Ed mappers unite :p).
I had a maxxed out stealth pistol, sniper rifle and crossbow with a pretty buffed assault rifle by the end.

(http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89413) WRONG. In the game there are 19 Accuracy mods, 11 Clip mods, 7 Scopes, 13 Recoil mods, 10 Reload mods, 11 Range mods, 5 Silencers and 7 Lasers.
Try actually knowing what you're talking about before speaking, it helps.
voodoo47 on 6/11/2005 at 22:03
dont forget that it depends on your skills as well.for example,if you have rifle skill at advanced, all you need is 3 accuracy mods (and 3 recoil mods) and your sniper rifle wont shake anymore.care to shoot out the bad guys left eye from one kilometer distance? :ebil:
just dont try to upgrade all weapons at once and you will be fine.
ZylonBane on 6/11/2005 at 22:35
Well then, guess I just suck at rooting out weapon upgrades.
/starts a new game...

Well then, I guess an apology is order for say it was bs when you were wrong don't you think?
And yes, you must really, really suck at finding stuff in DX. I didn't have to hunt much to get some uber mods.

Naelphin, if you are having inventory management problems, then use the layering technique. Do you know about it? Drag something to the right side of your inventory, and right click. Pick something up. The thing you picked up will be behind the thing you temporarily hid. You can carry a lot of stuff this way. I guess some people see this as a cheat, but inventory is so tight in DX, you almost have to use it.
So there are 10 reload mods? I've never been able to find more than 9. Drat. Where the heck is the 10th one? Nevermind.
D'Juhn Keep on 8/11/2005 at 19:05
Well, you could click the link in my previous post to find out :)
And I disagree with having to cheat to carry more stuff. DX isn't a hard game to complete, using more stuff than the game should normally allow you to carry is just powergaming and pretty uneccessary.
