Thank you, MsLedd! Not all of us have abandoned TTLG. The Thief forums are maintained, at least at the moderator level, and have 2 new moderators on the job who are devoted Thief fans. That's not enough, clearly and some new appointments should probably be made on the admin level to keep things running more smoothly.

And although what Nightwalker said is true, I am a devoted Thief fan, I also love the rest of this place and as long as I've had internet access, I've come here every day for longer than my 2003 register date. And it's choc-a-bloc full of the best people ever.

Heh, well, if Piglick is serious, I'm flattered. TTLG is my internet home, and as much as I get into fights here I do, in fact, give a shit about this place. I've run a few things in my time, and while I was a stickler for the rules I tried to play fair. I have experience in dealing with very contentious groups -- for about two years I waged a one-man war against entitlement whores who think following rules is for Hitlers. (Fuck metalheads.) At least here I know that wouldn't be such an issue.
Personally I'd just be happy with a spam cleanup position, but I wouldn't know how that'd work in the TTLG structure.

I remember Dalai on Black Cat saying a long time ago. Those that ask for the position want the power. That may or may not be necessarily true. Some of the members were a bit power hungry for sure. I just kept bitching about things, and they said. Here you do it......ahhhh. Ok.

Admittedly, I've been MIA from TTLG for a very long time. I turned the keys to the server over to David years ago, and eventually stopped visiting/posting for the most part save for an occasional lurk session or random post.
Well, for the time being anyway... I'm back to help out while we <s>abduct</s> er... recruit new staff members.

Glad to see you back here, Mara. We'd be up shit creek without you, and don't think for a minute we don't know that.
I'd like to see a diverse group of new mods; say, Ulu, dethy, Kolya, and Briareos (just suggestions, mind you). And Thirith, if we can
abduct recruit him without having to knock him out first. I think that kind of diversity might just liven things up around here. Just sayin'.
If all else fails, I say we pay some visits to David and GBM and dig holes in their front yards.
