Oh I've seen this one before. What the fuck? You're recommending that I read a fucking whorish webcomic where the reader decides what happens, meanwhile you're choosing to write off an entire genre that you haven't read, based on delusional sweeping generalisations?
Why should I take your opinion on this subject with the slightest grain of salt?
Be careful, or he'll complain to the mods that you're "harassing" him and then PM you whining about how he was bullied as a teenager.

I believe that you're thinking of Drows Tales' off-shoot (adult) comics, which do work that way. Drow Tales itself, though, isn't viewer-driven.
And I don't think that you should consider me any kind of expert. I freely admit I don't know comic books, and I explained why I'm hesitant to delve into an unfamiliar genre and why I prefer the variation that I am familiar with.
If it's any consolation, I watch every episode of Atop the Fourth Wall.

Instead of trying to explain yourself why not actually listen to what people have been saying and take them up on their suggestions in getting into print comics. You'll get farther than spewing your hilariously ignorant views about comics.

Two reasons:
1. No local comic stores.
2. No money to spare.

There are alternatives, you know. I'd send you a PM but you're too busy being Johnny Two Qs so I'll let someone else tell you about CBRs.

No need, Wikipedia told me.
Alright, then. I'll look into it.

Just finished Watchmen, the first superhero-comic I read. Silly me for ignoring an entire art-form, always thought these comics were for kids.

Hell no, man. Glad you finally figured it out.

Can you recommend anything similar? I like the grittiness of Watchmen. I read some graphic novels before, Maus and Joe Saco's work for example, but the fantasy genre is new to me

I definitely recommend Batman: The Long Halloween and its sequel, Dark Victory.
