If you do the main quest in Tribunal and complete all the work for the Emperor you can get a full set of Royal Guard armor (which is medium) and you can do good enchantment with it and if i remember right it has an armor rating of around 130 or so. Depending on your skill level or course. And it really isn't all that heavy. Thats the best medium armor i've found. Or that other stuff that starts with an a...(the guy in Godsreach makes it) its not to bad either. But i would have to say the Glass armor is the best!

Hey Aja, well if you wanna make a sneaky and unarmored char try this one...
My char: Skyefyre (Wood Elf/Female)
Class: (customize) So i make her a Amazon
Sign: (vary) Theif is good, but i prefer The Atronach
Specialization: Stealth
Favorite Attributes: Luck and Endurance
Major Skills Minor Skills
1)Sneak (AGI) 6)Alteration (WIL)
2)Security (INT) 7)Mysticism (WIL)
3)Acrobatics (STR) 8)Mercantile (PER)
4)Unarmored (SPD) 9)Long Blade (STR)
5)Speechcraft (PER) 0)Hand to Hand (SPD)
Tips try to work one major and/or minor skill without going over 10 pts on the both attribues, (i.e. 5 into Unarmored and 5 into Hand to Hand) that way you can get full 5 attributes when you level up. Very helpful at the beginning. That way it will be focusing on SPEED and not messing up the attributes when leveling. Sometimes at the end like you have 95, some attributes wont take another 5 pts for some reason. So you might wanna slow down when reaching 100.
Second while working on the major/minor skills try focus on the others that will not effect your levelup, (i.e. i work on Athletics and Alchemy both got 10 pts boost, so i get 5 into Endurance as well Intelligence plus my Speed). So you get 3 attributes per level. I perfer get Luck tho, too bad only get one point into Luck per level.
Working on something useful like weapons/magics that is not major/minor at least it would be very strong at low levels.
Heres my opposite skills beside major/minor...
Agility:Marksman and Spear
Endurance: Athletics
Intelligence: Alchemy, Conjuration and Enchant
Personaility: Illusion
Speed: Short Blade
Strength: Armorer
Willpower: Destruction and Restoration
Note: i use Super Adventure Mod, so they change alittle things around like Spear it was Endurance, but now its Agility. Plus some more bonuses for races to have more powers (i.e. resist, abilities, etcs) The plugin itself is interesting but more challanges. If you wanna try it out go for it.
Working on Alchemy is very important, one is can heal yourself while training your skill as Unarmored from all that cheap crappy potions you made for healing so find a kwama forger and stand near that critter for awhile, second Alchemy can make you rich if you need the golds later on.
Here a tip if you need to get started from Super Adventure Mod:
Thru Seyda Neen, go North over the little bridge then go left along the coast til you see a huge rock. somewhere along the bank there a chest underwater, there are weapons, cloaks, and alot of golds to get you started
