Not so sure about the live-action bits, but they're mostly good. The two stand out fails are the woman at about 1.30 - terrible acting, and the guy near the end who shouts "you're killing our humanity" or something.
What I find especially interesting about all this is in the future, when augmentation and it's transhuman/dehumanising controversy becomes real (and it will), people will look back and think "Wow. A game predicted all this."

As real as is my flying car that I bought in 2000.
I don't know where you live, but here in Montreal, the trend is with biological food and a "greener" way of life. We frown upon athletes who take steroids. We even frown upon people who simply take too much medecine. So unless there is a radical shift in the moral value of people, there is simply no way "transhuman/dehumanising" will become real.

I`m afraid you live in a bubble sir. Couple of decades is all it took for plastic surgery to go from unthinkable to buying DIY kits over internet. Cloning your dead pet? Still expensive but not a horror scenario anymore. The moment Mr Jobs perfects his Human CentIpod everybody will be onto this shit. Since you can`t really miniaturize much further, implants are next logical step.

Thing is - the flying car was always just a dream. Augmentation is here already in a way, through prosthetic limbs, power suits, laser eye surgery and of course cosmetic plastic surgery. It's not going to be long before some of this stuff becomes small enough and powerful enough to be superior to nature in some ways.

There will always be hippies who don't go for this but it only takes one product to breakthrough and become popular and we'll be on the slippery slope.
The
only problem with augmentations is obsolescence; look at how fast mobile phones have and are evolving - if you can't change aug v1 with aug v2 easily it'll never quite take off.

Let's imagine two girls. Both are beautiful, both are intelligent, funny and kind, but one of them chose to have both her legs cut off and replaced with prosthetics simply because she wanted to run faster and jump higher. So all other things being equal, with which girl will you choose to spend the night with? The one who's able to run faster because of those great mechanical legs or the one who's pure flesh and bones?
Maybe I'm a hippy who live in a bubble, but only the idea of feeling those mechanical legs during sex will turn me off and the fact that she can run fast won't help me at all get in the mood. But hey! I'm sure some people are into that sort of things...

What if she can put those legs into a hyper vibrate mode making her do 120 perfect thrusts a second?
That's what i thought:ebil:

Don't worry, Papy. Whatever you're into, they'll have an aug for that.
