Is there a version of an interactive map for Morrowind that is larger than the tesmap_hi.exe? This is a great program, but soooo small on my large monitor.

A great program if you don't count the fact that text obscures other text sometimes and that it uses about 78MB of RAM for no good reason at all (more than anything else I have running). And other, more minor, things.

I would love to use this interactive map but it comes up with a directdraw reference error and will not reconize the morrowind map. I have microsoft framework 3.0 and a gf3 ti. I know the graphics card is old but I run everything with dx 9.0c. Any ideas?

Sorry I didn't warn you :o
At first it loads no map and signals an error, and you have to ignore it and close the error message window, then simply press 'open map' and it will open the destination folder where the program was installed. After you have manually loaded the Morrowind map once, it will automaticly load it everytime you load the program.

When I try to load the morrowind map it says that morrowind.pmf does not appear to be a map file and never loads it. Anymore ideas?

That is weird. It works perfectly on my PC :erg:
And .pmf is exactly the file that is a map... Sorry, so far I have no idea how to help :(
Try reinstalling it probably? Make sure both installations are in the same folder, install first setup.exe first and the map_setup.exe second.
..I'll try to find some solutions, though it is not something that was even on the bug list....
EDIT:
The link I posted was for 1.3 version.
(
http://www.thehappycat.ukf.net/ptolemy.html) This one is 1.4
You can try installing latest version.
Also, you need the (

8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en) .Net Framework 1.1 and DX9 to be installed.
*keeps searching*

Now it works. I have framework 3.0 and dx 9.0c
The only thing that changed, is I let it install in the default folder this time, instead of in a folder I store all my Morrowind stuff. It loaded without the error, and loaded the morrowind map automatically on startup. This is awesome. Thank you so much for your help.

P.S. Where would I look for other maps to use with it? Is there a repository somewhere?

It says here "Although Ptolemy comes with a map for the Morrowind game, it could be used to map any game for which a bitmap of the map is available"
Can't find any contacts of this guy, The Happy Cat. Maybe you can ask this question on boards where this software is being discussed? I am sure someone already has the answer :)
