Intelligent Enchantment. - by True Spirit

I started to experience with enchanting just recently since originally my char was supposed to be kinda fighter/thief or something.
Yet, i'm asking if high Intellingence plays any important part in Enchanting. I know that the Enchant skill is governed by intelligence and is important because it lets you have more succesful chances when trying to enchant an item.
But rather than that ? How does Intelligence affect your Enchanting process ?
I mean, we all know that the better the Enchant skill, the more likely you are to succesfully enchant an item... but i really don't get intelligence over here. So, is it or not important to be high ?
Also, if i'm not wrong, the only difference between enchanting an item yourself or going to an Enchanter is the actual chance to succeed, and no other effects... ?! :o

If you look in the book that came with the game you'll see for yourself what skills are effected by the different attributes. Now, with that said, if you are trying to do the constant effect Enchanting process yourself (?)......you may have problems. Even if I super-enhance my Intelligence/Enchantment/Luck skills with potions/magic....I still can't do the constant effect enchantment myself. :( I'm not sure if the game was designed this way but it sucks to pay for super-enchantments yourself. As often stated, the game is easy enough you really don't need all the constant effect stuff anyways. I've got a bunch of constant effect stuff ( that I bought ), but even so, there are limitations to how high you can enchant items even if you have a million dollars.
