Intel loves MAC commercial. - by CandyStick

Has anyone seen the Intel+Mac comercial? It shows a bunch of people dressed in astronaut wear "making" the new Mac Intel CPU. Then the narration starts:
"Intel chip, for years it's been traped in PCs. Inside dull little boxes preforming dull little tasks. When it could have been doing so much more. Starting today, the Intel chip will be set free inside a Mac...."
I can't bolive that they publicly call PCs dull and something that made Intel CPUs preform dull little tasks. I know they are trying to appeal to PC hating MAC crowd, but this is just insulting and a bad move considering how big of a PC CPU market share Intel has. I think I'll stay away from Intel in the future then, wouldn't want to trap and torture their precius procesors with dull little tasks.
If you haven't seen the comercial on TV, you can see it here: (

Calm down, dear, it's just a commercial.

Apple certainly knows how to sell to its audience.

Pretty cool! However, it is not spacesuits - it is a cleanroom facility for industrial fabrication of semi-conductor microchips. :)
Pretty cool to see it! I've not been to an industrial plant yet, atm. I'm working at a research cleanroom facility. However, we wear almost the same outfit - except from the facemask...

Well, if games are more boring than Photoshop, they're exactly right.
If, on the other hand, I'm right in thinking that Macs still don't have many recreational applications, they're spewing bullshit again.
Apple: It may be boring, but it looks real pretty!!!1

I don't see what's so really wrong with that point of view. Ads are the frontpage of a company's methods of marketing (no shit) and beliefs. Intel and Mac
accept to be real hypocrites and assholes (especially given their previous ads that were once trying to destroy each other) in order to sell more. If another company doesn't actually shows such hypocritical behaviour and make products of the same quality, there's nothing intrinsecally wrong with switching to the competitor on the basis of a "Intel & Mac almost officially consider their customers to be sheeps with no higher brain functions".

There's a composit going around where you have the Mac commercial playing on the left and the 'similar' clips from the music video on the right. By the end you just can't help going "total fucking ripoff".
Incidentally, this Mac commercial was made by the same people who made the iPod commercial. That they got sued for because it was ripping off a shoe brand commercial. Maybe Apple should ditch them and try someone who doesn't just take others' material...
