Forget this, I figured it out but don't know how to delete this post.
For info, instead of mounting an image of the original CDs I put the CD files into a folder and ran it directly from there, directing the -lgntforce to the setup.exe in the folder.
I am installing TGold and T2 again. I cannot install T Gold. I mounted an image of original CDs and ran setup like this:
I run setup as administrator by typing the following (where D is the drive letter of CD1) in the Windows run command:
“D:\setup.exe -lgntforce”
It bypasses the windows NT thing okay and I get the install splash screen but then a message that I have insufficent memory. Its been so long since I last installed I can't remember what I did and I can't find anything in the Tech FAQ about memory problem.
Anyone know what I should be doing?

Hi
thank you for your reply. For T1 the TFix installer says the game has to be installed first which is what I couldn't do. It worked for T2 because the whole game was installed from the TFix app.
Anyway, I've done it now with Tfix too. I edited my original post while you were replying. Thanks anyway :thumb:

If you read the "Important Notes" section, it says:
Quote:
-if you have the original CD release, and the game installer is not working, you can do a manual install - just copy the THIEF folder from both CDs to your hard drive (overwrite the folder from the first cd with the one from the second, that should make sure all the resources end up in just one folder), run TFix, and follow the instructions.
