I finally have the Editor working, took me a while to get it working. I used dracflamloc his installer and it work great. And look at David his post.
Can use the Editor and start the Game when ever I want with 2 clicks...nice work dracflamloc :cheeky:
In case someone still has a problem with it.
1 - Install the game Thief Deadly Shadows - I name it what they told Thief3.
2 - Install the patch to Thief Deadly Shadows.
3 - Copy the whole Content from your Thief Deadly Shadows. And make a new map...Thief3 Edit, and copy it in to that map.
4 - Copy all stuff from the Editor zip file in you Thief3 Edit folder.
5 - Use Dracflamloc his Installer, then you see t2 paths on the installer use the same name you installed those both game. Like my was...G:\Games\Thief3 Edit and G:\Games\Thief3. Past that in to Dracflamloc his installer.
6 - Then Rename T3MainOptVersion.exe to T3Main. Wich you can find in your system folder...mine was G:\Games\Thief3 Edit\System
8 - Open the file user.ini in the root of the Thief3 Edit directory and add a semi-colon to the start of the line LoadFromResourceBlockFiles=True.
At the bottom of this file, add the following:
[Conversations]
SchemaChangesAllowed=true
7 - And then it must work.
8 - You still can delete some stuff in Content, that David was mention. I haven`t done that at the moment, cause I was missing files when I wanted to start the editor.
9 - Hope I didnt miss any thing.

I test it and every thing worked fine now. If you have problems when you launch the game in the editor and nothing happend when it load, turn of your Software firewall...look at this thread (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1215088#post1215088) What to do when your game stop loading .
I test the first map Castle1, was walking there and though it has the same enviroment as Shalebridge Cradle, since it was a while since I played that lvl. I just found out that it was Shalebridge Cradle. :cheeky:
And I walk through the lvl, and suddenley I see that Psycopathic patient walking there with his cage on his head. I turn around..walk back quick, and look for any weapons. Seems the didnt put that in to this lvl.
So I walk to it, go up stairs...see some lights flickering and knew that there was 1 around. Walk to him...since I didnt had any weapons and toy with him. Then I remember how spoke it was when the saw you and they walked quickly to you. I run downstair, patient gone and go upstair again and see him walking in to another room.
I walk to the corner in to a dark spot, I turn around and suddenly that patient is try to robbing me from my life. Got the shock of my life...I never expected him to walk behind me, when I saw him entering that room. I run for my life down stair, and stop the lvl.
And though by my self, even without sound...those patients are creepy as hell, when they walk that fast in to you.
In the end the editor works, and iI cant wait till someone is going to make another Shale Bridge lvl, and then with more stages.
Shale Bridge rocks...with those creepy patients.
And thx for giving the Editor out.

I've been farting around with this damn thing for several hours now, nothing seemed to work. Kept changing .bat file settings, even downloaded the latest ATI drivers, still nothing.
Then I went and looked at my Display Properties and Color Quality has been set to 16 bit for some reason all this time. I changed it to 32 bit and it loaded fine. Maybe it was all things combined, but I didn't have to update motherboard chipset drivers or anything.
I've confirmed several times that switching back and forth from 16 bit to 32 bit Color Quality makes it error out or work, respectively. I wouldn't think too many other (retards like me) people would have their Desktop Display Properties set to 16-bit color, but some game/app recently required it and I never switched back.
CHECK YOUR DISPLAY COLOR QUALITY SETTINGS - Must be 32-bit for me on WindowsXP Home, SP2 with an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! :laff:
Can someone PLEASE add this important fact to the editor installation FAQ - the editor will only run with the windows desktop set to 32bit colour. I spent hours last night chasing cryptic error messages with no luck until seeing this post. My video card is a Nvidia FX5900XT so I presume this advice applies to ALL video cards.
It's now working. :thumb:

Consider it added.

Aw, shucks, 'tweren't nothing really, my fellow taffers....just make sure you spell 'Deity' correctly on that dedication plaque in your first TDS FM!!! ;)
No, seriously though, I haven't really contributed much to the Dromed scene lately and it's kinda nice being in on something significant early on in the budding T3Ed community. But, it'll all even out about the time I ask the 2000th dumb T3Ed-related question in about 2 weeks....
I'm really surprised this thread isn't stickied at the top of the T3EG forum. What gives? It was the first thread I looked for when I came here yesterday while waiting for T3Ed to download on BitTorrent.
And consider yourselves lucky, for if I hadn't been having the same trouble, I probably would have never found it. Fortunately I tend to come across every problem possible. :p

Hey enjoy. I'll probably create a dark-loader type program towards the end of next week, after I finish some exams here at college.

I am still waiting for the CD with T3Ed, but I have a question... Sorry if it is dumb.
If I understand correctly, I will have to uninstall TDS (and add-ons), make a 'clean' install of the game and copy it in order to create some kind of base for the editor... I will have two TDS folders: (x)the game and (y)the editor.
Can I install add-ons (JohnP textures etc.) and make some .INI tweaks in (x)?
