And as to Israel being a colonial project - what is Al Aqsa mosque built on top of? Sand? It's something else. Who is the coloniser here?

Yes Israeli rhetoric is often, and increasingly, inflammatory. But you know what they don't do? Terrorist attacks in civilian populations with widespread dancing in the streets afterwards.
It's a completely different mentality and if Palestine stopped the violence THERE WOULD BE NO MORE VIOLENCE.
I think you're being naive again. The Israeli terrorism is just different, but they still cause needless destruction just to make a statement. They have the means to pull off more advanced "military operations" so their acts of terrorism may look more sophisticated to you, but the end result is the same whether you drop a bomb on a school building, or throw a grenade in a classroom full of kids. Actually, the end result is often worse in the former case, but "collateral damage" sounds more cool than "terrorism", don't you think?
If PALESTINE STOPPED THE VIOLENCE like you suggested, they'd just have to live in miserable conditions for the rest of their lives. I obviously very much support your idea of stopping the violence, but it will never work unless Israel also stops breaking international laws and makes a genuine attempt to end this madness (in a peaceful way, preferably).

The Palestinians would deny there ever was a temple there. Arafat's denial was one of the reasons the 2000 Camp David summit failed. Abbas, who literally has a PhD in Holocaust denial, has continued with this stance. Palestinian leaders have at various times claimed that the temple was in Arabia, Yemen or Nablus, rather than Jerusalem.
And remember, these people are the moderates...

Not on the streets, maybe, but there have been Gaza bombing viewing parties for quite a while now where people cheer on while Palestinians are being killed:
Quote:
(
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/20/israelis-cheer-gaza-bombing)
As the sun begins to sink over the Mediterranean, groups of Israelis gather each evening on hilltops close to the Gaza border to cheer, whoop and whistle as bombs rain down on people in a hellish warzone a few miles away.
Old sofas, garden chairs, battered car seats and upturned crates provide seating for the spectators. On one hilltop, a swing has been attached to the branches of a pine tree, allowing its occupant to sway gently in the breeze. Some bring bottles of beer or soft drinks and snacks.
[...]
Some bring their children.
[...]
The thud of shellfire, flash of an explosion and pall of smoke are greeted with exclamations of approval. "What a beauty," says one appreciative spectator.

They are watching the military engage with Hamas, not cheering and dancing in jubilant ecstacy at the reports of a successful civilian murder fest .
You either didn't see the Hamas videos on Oct 7th, are dishonest or are very very very very very very stupid.

This has nothing to do with Oct 7th. The article is from more than 10 years ago. These parties have been going on for years and decades.
So, I am not in fact dishonest and I am not the one who is "very very very very very very stupid".
I don't know why you even bother pretending that one side in this is the paragon of morality when there are documented warcrimes, including the use of human shields by the Israelis.
Here's a picture taken by a journalist of one of those parties where people have brought chairs and are cheering and clapping: (

"Some described it as a best reality show in town. Others said it is better than the world cup."

SubJeff is just being very very very very very very gullible. I can't believe that some people actually buy into the whole "most moral army in the world" thing.

So what?
They are still cheering a battle with Hamas.
I guess your didn't read the article.

"So what?" Seriously? So what if tens of thousands of civilians die in their so-called "battle with Hamas"? Of course these lovely and civilized people only cheer and clap in a sophisticated manner whenever there's a confirmed kill of a Hamas terrorist, whereas the savage Palestinians murder innocent babies and bathe in their blood and then go dance in the streets like the bloody barbarians that they are.
Of course I'm exaggerating a little there, but if you aren't even able to acknowledge how f*cked up these kind of "viewing parties" are, then there's not much point talking about anything to do with human rights with you.
