OK, so I blended up some oranges with a little hot water and made a nice smelling paste.
I applied the paste to the anthill. Rather unfortunately, I think I made it too thick and I now have what looks like a huge pile of dog vomit on my lawn. No sign of the ants so far, though.

Really? They like the smell of electricity in the morning? Suppose it smells like victory to them. The last couple of days the number of walk-by ant squasing reached a monthly high. That means they are working their way back in. Also I looks like the have an Air Force now. I found one which grew wings. Looks like mating time...:(
