I've updated my old online edition of this book and it will be available all day tomorrow (Saturday, Aug 6th) for free. To find it, do a google search on: Amazon books Ken Ramsley. It will the last book on the list.
This book was originally written during my fan mission design days, and it keeps popping up online -- including required reading in more than one university film production class. Yet, the book was never meant to be released so widely in such a rough form, and I've finally re-written and polished a version that is properly produced.
The book explains story design for anyone -- not just game designers. And if you are interested in fiction-writing for any media, please feel free to grab a $0.00 edition tomorrow.
Cheers!

Sounds interesting.
Since it's now free, will you be offering it anywhere aside from Amazon (e.g. in downloadable epub format), for those of us who don't have/use Kindle?

You have Windows 10, right? Just get the app, and read it through there.

It's free for just today (Aug 6th). I will also make this free on Kindle every so often, and I'll gladly post the dates here to give everyone a heads up -- once I decide on them.
As Renzatic points out, Kindle readers are available on any device - even my ancient Android phone. I suggest 'buying' the free copy for now.
My contract with Amazon doesn't let me sell this book anywhere else (like smashwords) -- which is my choice. If I want, I can change this contract to be more open (and less useful) in three months. In the meantime, if anyone wants a free copy of the original file, please write to me at kenramsley at gmail.com, and I'll send you the html text.

Thanks for this! :)
I can confirm that it works fine in both Windows and Android. There's even an option to read it online if you don't want to install any new apps.

I also gotted it. I've now added it to my big collection of stuff with which to get my learn on with.
