Speaking of the Temple of Doom, the (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_skull) wiki page on Crystal Skulls leads me to believe that it'll have a similar "quest for the 3 Sankara stones" plot. At least it probably isn't going to feature sci-fi or a Roswell slant, I like my Indiana Jones to be quasi-mythological with supernatural overtones, thanks.

Agreed. Indiana Jones and the Blah of the Blah in the Blah where the Blah goes shut up fett. It's too long, it's uninspiring, it's just... meh.
I'll still watch it though.

are you just in automatic thread shitting mode right now?
SubJeff on 11/9/2007 at 03:26
What?
Scots Taffer on 11/9/2007 at 03:30
I told fett to chill, he apologised, no need to dogpile. Your comment adds nothing except an insult.
Plus, I really wasn't sure how to take your comment in the 9/11 thread. I mean, I hate that thread too but there's nothing worse than shitting on those threads, especially when there are people who are genuinely emotionally connected to the events.
Although I just heard this 9/11 joke and I laughed like an absolute cunt -
Knock, knock.
Who's there?
9/11.
9/11 who?
You said you'd never forget. :(
Anyway, forget it.

What insult? I never insulted fett, I'd never do that. I do think the name is too long, and just... dumb, though. If I apologise will everything be better? I'm sorry fett, but I found your rant about the dislike of the name to be a tad annoying. Whilst I agree with you about Empire and Temple being fairly lame names the time of their release, probably coupled with nostalgia, means we accept them more easily than similar names now. Plus I really thing that objectively the new Indy name is overlong and just cruddy. And I'm not even being sarcastic Scots!!
Good joke! I post that in those threads because the 9/11 sentimental introversion makes me sick. Just like anything else of that type. I happen to find that subject to be more sickening than most. And what do you mean "people who are genuinely emotionally connected to the events"? Do you mean we have US citizens on this forum? Or what?

Seeing this thread ... I got a little curious and just peeked at the script that got released ... just a few pages at the start ... a few more ... just one more page ... I better stop myself. But damn this is fun already. :D
But yeah, stupid name.
Scots Taffer on 11/9/2007 at 03:56
Where's that?

Any of you ever see the video of Ewan McGregor's reaction when he learned that second Star Wars prequel was going to be called Attack of the Clones? He was at some film event in LA and a tv journalist asked him what he thought of the new title for the movie. He replied that he hadn't heard it yet, and when she informed him of it he froze. He just froze, speechless, for several seconds, then said 'That's a terrible, terrible title' before shaking his head and walking away. In another clip from the same event you see him telling Nicole Kidman, his co-star in 'Moulin Rouge', and they just fall all over each other laughing.
Never underestimate the ability of George Lucas to fuck up any production he's involved in.

Actually, I thought the original title (IJ and the City of Gods) was pretty damn good.
