i just saw this movie (finally). Not too bad. Definitely not great, but it was cute. i like the overall premise, but the effects were very computerized (almost cartoony) and there were some definite stupid scenes (vines and monkeys, need i say more).
The stupid "Indy is your father" spin was idiotic, though. The way they all took it was anything but natural.
My wife hated the greaser character. i actually liked him when he appears at the bar and on the motorcycle scene, but later in the movie his character fell apart and was very disjointed to me. Cate Blanchett was excellent, though. i really liked her character and performance.
i heard this was not supposed to be marketed towards old Indiana Jones fans but to a new generation that Lucas wants to appeal to in order to revive the series. If they are going to revive it, i sure hope they've hit the bottom, though. Another one like this will kill the series for good.

Yeah, but, we heard that before... Two words: one starting with S and the other with W.
And we know how that ended...

Agreed. Mutt was actually really well drawn in the beginning but faded into slack-jawed nothingness in the latter half of the movie, not to mention that Marion was introduced in that
Hey remember Marion? then they shoe-horned in some hammy expository shit about how Indy jilted her and then nothing for the rest of the movie, now what, oh, they're reuniting for a soppy wedding? Bah.
Cate's character was a nothing, as well Oxley and Mac.
In the original Darabont script I'm still weeping over they made a good play out of aligning Mac into Cate's character (in Yuri), Oxley was a background piece of exposition never seen (at least as far as I'm into it, bit over halfway) and it seems to work well.

fuck, Fuck, FUCK LUCAS!!!!!!!! This Darabont script is so good. Just got to the part where he is expelled from the school and it's handled so well. Indy's drunken rampage in the mueseum plus the clock tower action scene is class too.

I was like:
Wow, Lucas is a fucking idiot after the Museum fight.
Then after the biplane sequence:
Fuck that fuck, FUCK HIM.

Just finished it. Wow, that would have been one hell of a movie and alot of the script is quite similar to KOTCS just handled much much better, so why the fuck did they change it? Also just for the road, FUCK Lucas for depriving us of a drunk Sean Connery singing 'Fly Me To The Moon'. I know Connery wasn't keen on the script they used but he might've been up for this one especially since he probably wasn't retired at the time it was written.

So, if anyone wanted to read the script, how would they go about finding it?

Is this an alternate script for the new movie or one of the old ones? Linkage?
