Someone must have been pretty imaginative!
Gophers too. A surprising number of gophers.

The end result would've been the same if he'd just gone off to a bar for some drinks instead.
Right. A reconciled relationship between estranged father and son. Choosing love for your child over fulfilling a life-long dream. Who the fuck can even relate to that?

Besides, they were less concerned with obtaining the grail for themselves than just making sure the Nazis didn't take it.
edit -- well then, that wasn't clear at all

I was talking about Raiders, man. Although he did get the girl, so maybe he should have left the drinks until after the fight at Marion's bar.

Good luck finding a ticket to Last Crusade. And I haven't spoiled anything.

Carry on, in empty theatre no one can hear your scream.

The gophers,an obvious homage to Caddyshack.
I hear the Russians want to ban it over there because of the cold war dialogue.

I just saw it tonight, and I literally haven't seen a movie in the cinema since 1989. I suppose it was partly nostalgia since I saw the original Raiders Of Ark in 1981. Yeah, Raiders was a huge hit back then I can assure you, albeit maybe not as all pervasive as Star Wars was in '77.
It was fun. Plot? Uh don't ask me, but as a lot of fast moving visuals and earshattering sound effects it was cool. But they put me way too close, the theatre was tiny, maybe 100 seats, and when you're sitting 30 feet away from a 40 foot wide screen you can hardly tell what's going on half the time, it's jsut a fast moving blur :nono: I was just too polite to move elsewhere I suppose.
Apart from the nostalgia of seeing Karen Allen back again the high point for me was the waterfall sequence. Great cinematography. Was it just my imagination though or was there a smidgeon of CGI to hide the bags under Fords eyes?:cheeky:
