Yeah, that was the first concern as soon as it was mentioned Indy had a son in the movie.

Because a young sidekick is a TOTALLY FOREIGN IDEA to Indiana Jones.

And Temple of Doom's the least favorite.

You guys might be interested to know a chunk of Temple of Doom was actually cut out of Raiders of the Lost Ark (the medallion was originally in two pieces, one piece in Nepal, the other in Hong Kong ... they had to improvise with the missing letters by putting them on the back).
Speaking of slackerboys, I saw Raiders - The Adaptation recently. Anyone else see it?
If you don't know, it's by a group of middle school kids that wanted to make their own version of Raiders after seeing it in the theatre ... It took them 6 years (you can see them gradually age from scene to scene) and plenty of pyrotechnics as they torched cars, basements, and each other. For what it is, it's pretty awesome ... basically every scene in the movie got into their version in one way or another, and you look forward to how they did certain scenes. It completely taps into that whole generation of kids that could quote the movie line for line.

Is there a DVD release or did you catch it in some independent cinema?

edit: I guess I was just being over-cautious, but I'll have to change my answer to none of the above, to be honest.
The screenings are really hard to make, even if you do live within 3 hours of a city that has them.
And from what I've read, they said it will probably take years to make it to a DVD release because of the legalities involved ... which is too bad. It's really sort of inspiring to see how dedicated they were to see it to the end.

I've been keen to see it for a couple of years. Hopefully it'll leak onto the internet in one form or another in the future.

Oh, it's out there now if you search for it, just very recently ... it's not particularly hidden.
I won't get in trouble for saying that much, will I?
But really, for a lot of people that may be the only chance to see it in this decade...

Oh, I hadn't looked any time recently... I'll look tonight, cheers.
