Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods??Possible title, looking more and more likely with the recent Comic-Con showing this little statue thingy:

http://www.imgplace.com/directory/dir327/1185499261.jpgThis seems like confirmation of the suspicion that they would be filming a chunk of Hawaii called The Hamakua Coast area to double for a South America rain forest.
There has been some speculation for a while regarding the plot, some were saying Atlantis, some were saying Area 51 and Aliens... however, what was present at the Comic-Con was...

http://www.imgplace.com/directory/dir327/1185499296.jpgNow where did the ark end up? We all remember it being wheeled into that vast warehouse of numbered boxes.
Evoking the ark also brings back memories of Indy's brief love affair with Marion Ravenwood and also reinforces rumours that Shia Le Bouf (most ridiculous name ever) is their lovechild from Raiders... Well, guess who just showed face:

http://www.imgplace.com/directory/dir327/1185499316.jpgIt's getting very interesting. I think it would be very cool if the Indiana Jones movies somehow came full circle with Indiana trying to get his hands back on the Ark again, while perhaps tying in somehow with a larger plot to do with Incas or something, perhaps the Inca stuff is the main body of the plot and the Ark is just the little prologue entry to the movie to get the gang all together again. In any case, I'm gaining more and more confidence in how they're approaching this and amazingly, I think Harrison looks like he can pull it off.
I feel like a kid again! :D

Hope Indy doesn't croak midmovie with a heart attack :(
Ah, the action heroes of yesterday....great times.
*Hums the Indiana Jones Theme*

I remember when I was downloading scripts years ago, I noticed a first-draft IJ4 in the mix, way before they even announced it (so I'm sure it's much different now ... I mean 1/4 of the original IJ1 ended up being IJ2. But still...). But when I heard it was announced I vowed not even to peek so it'll be a complete surprise. I really have no idea what hoohaw an elder Indiana will get into and don't want to know until I see it. The idea that it ends in South America is sort of a cool idea, that it comes full circle with the beginning.
I am curious what critter we'll have ... we've had spiders, snakes, bugs, and rats. South America ... maybe bats? Locusts?

I seriously wonder how they are going to pull it off with Harrison Ford way up in the years. I certainly don't see him doing the similar sequences like fist-fighting with Nazis or crawling underneath speeding trucks. Still, the plot sounds interesting and I like how it's tied with the original Raiders movie.

The screenwriters etc have stated that they're not treating Indiana as a thirty-something superman, but a late-forties guy who's aging gracefully, so presumably the action will be tailored to those needs.

I had my doubts about this. Indy is near and dear to my heart, and to me, it felt like they were reviving the series just for it's potential as a cash cow.
But I gotta admit, this has me a bit stoked. Just a bit, though. I'll save the true bouts of nerd joy/rage for when the teaser trailer decides to show up. Then I'll go off like a maniac.

Indiana Jones and the Zimmer of Doom.
Who's with me?
I've heard a recent interesting rumble in those darkened places on the net that...
...the ark DOES feature in it at the start with a fight sequence between Americans and Rrussians who are trying to steal it from Area 51. Indy is there on a government "lecture" capacity to analyse something and is dragged into it all from there.
.
Still - Ford is god.

Well, as shit as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was, I do think Sean Connery did manage to pull off the Ageing-adventurer-still-good-in-a-scrape part reasonably well (at least at the start of the movie), plus Bruce Willis proved that he could still do John McClane at his age, so I'm not too worried about Ford zimmering about.
It just goes to show - even old men are good for a lil' bit o' action, hur hur.
