OK, I’m sure that this question has been asked before, but I need an answer now. I have a nice, powerful character that I do not want to lose. He has contracted Corprus disease. Early in the game, I stumbled on the Corprusarium and killed an inmate before I realized it was a no-no. Now, when I approach the wizard guy in the Tower of Fyr for the cure, he will not even talk to me. So, here is what I have tried.
I trained my Illusion skill up to 72, which is the highest it will go in my present condition. I had a 100 to 100 Charm spell to target on a person made for me. I hacked my magicka up to 1000 and stood in front of Fyr launching repeated Charm spells. Each one creates a sort of gas cloud that seems to envelop him and permeate his armor, and then there is kind of a bright flash. There is no effect on him. His attitude toward me starts at 0/100 and stays at 0/100. When I hit the spacebar to transact with him, his message is:
“You have killed one of the inmates in the Corprusarium. Leave. Live with the consequences of your actions.”
The only response available to me is, “Goodbye”. I cannot activate the Persuasion command or any of the other conversation topics.
My abilities are slowly dwindling. I do not know how to change Fyr’s attitude toward me so that he will allow a cure.
Does anyone know how to hack the game or my character so that he does not have the Corpruse disease, the disease is removed, the inmate is un-killed, or Fyr decides to like me? Anything that gets me beyond this sticking point.
Thanks.

Your best bet is to try using a bunch of Telvanni Bug Musk potions. This increases your personality, which should increase Fyr's disposition towards you. Either that make a note of your personality, enter the console, type:
player->SetPersonality 1000
Talk to Divayth, then reset your personality to what it was.

It's not all bad. Your strength and endurance are being permanently raised. You can restore your other attributes with the appropriate potions after you've cured yourself.

Thanks, Striker, for the tip. It worked fine. I didn't have any bug musk on me and I didn't feel like swimming to someplace to buy some, so I cheated my personality up. Fyr was still disappointed that I had killed one of the inmates, but he forgave me and the rest of the sequence played out the way it is supposed to.
I haven't played this game for 5 months because of this problem and now I can get back to it. After getting all sorts of suggestions about Charm spells that didn't work from other people, wouldn't you know that I would get the answer in the Land of Oz.
Thanks again.

Yeah, Ryushi, I just noticed that effect. Excellent.
Thanks.
