Is there any way (thinking in the morrowind.ini file under the lighting section?) to increase the distance until light sources fade, thus causing torches and lanterns etc to give off a larger region of light? It seems to me as though the lighting affects a too small area surrounding the light source. I've tried quadratic and that seems even smaller lighting area, i much prefer the appearance of the linear mode lighting.
thanks,
Tim.

*laugh* Not hardly ;) I've a suggestion or three, but I was in no way involved with the development of the game so I haven't a clue what they'll really do ;)
In any case, pop open the editor and go to "Gameplay->Settings", select the "Gameplay" tab, and there's one ID named 'fLightMaxMod'. That might do something for you, but it'd be a global setting.
The other idea, again involving the editor, is to pop open the editor, and check out the 'Light' tab. That way, you can make a "super-bright" torch if you like by tweaking the Radius.
Lastly, modifying either (or both) of the *Mult vars in the [LightAttenuation] section of the Morrowind.ini might help, but again, that's a global thing. If you do this, I'd reccomend changing its value very gradually.
