Hi, guys!
Long story short: anyone with some php skills interested in helping a dude out, and by "helping a dude out" I mean "telling me what code to change in a php template to get a desired effect?"
Long story long: I'm currently wrapping up a redesign of (
http://atroxity.com) atroxity.com, the site for a serialized graphic novel some friends and I are working on. We wanted to switch to a platform that would make frequent updates easier to manage, so the new site is being designed with WordPress running ComicPress.
I've spent a good deal of time tweaking the site so it doesn't look like just another WordPress site running ComicPress, and for the most part I've been successful. I have reached one area that seems to be simply beyond my abilities, however, and that's our archive page.
The desired goal is an archive page that resembles (somewhat) the Table of Contents page on the current incarnation of the site linked above, but attempting to tweak the archive template accordingly is well beyond my basically non-existent php coding abilities.
I'm looking for someone to help out behind the scenes and tweak the code for this one page, a task which I'm guessing would take an hour or two for someone reasonably experienced in the ways of php. I'm not going to post a link to the page in question here as I don't want to make a website currently in development open to the world, but I'd obviously include this information in a followup email.
If I'm unable to find a working php solution, I plan on throwing together some hard-coded image links that will more or less accomplish the desired goal, but this would create a manually updated archive page that utterly ignores the entire point of using WordPress.
So: any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My php is rusty but I'll have a look. It all depends on what you want - it sounds like you want some sort of auto-updating of links/images.
Tbh I think Yakoob is your man, but there are other people on here who are more likely to know than me, but I'm still willing to eyeball it. I'll be able to tell you in a few minutes if its beyond me or not.

Awesome, dude.
What I'm basically looking for is someone to look at an existing php template and tweak it a bit. It may wind up involving more than I currently understand or suspect, ofcourse, but I'm also somewhat realistic in regards to differentiating between "things needed for a site I'm willing to go live with" and "things that sure would be nice."
I'll fire off an email to your gmail account shortly.
