Hey, would it be possible to make some kind of script that makes it so when you press a button the loot is highlighted by its 'wireframe'? Something like in Dromed I suppose.
I know for sure "The Dark Mod" has such a feature, even Thief 3 but by an inconvenient mean, but I don't know if Thief 1 or 2 is even able to have it.

a better idea would be what thief 3 did make all loot gleam every so often

Life pro tip: Every idea you think is good, is actually terrible.

I wouldn't mind this quite frankly because in T1 and T2 hunting down one more piece of loot to meet the loot goal can be very annoying and time consuming, and I don't have as much free time as I used to.

Yes, that's the point. You could use Dromed and find the loot, but it would be way more practical to have that "loot finder idea" in-game.
Besides, it will be ought to get incredibly tedious if you already got some loot and now you have to find the loot you're missing in Dromed, which technically you're missing all.

You can find loot in Dromed and I believe that you can load saved games in Dromed so that when you do the command to search for loot and then hit the key to teleport the game view to the location of each piece you are missing rather than every piece in the mission. That way you can find only the pieces you are missing rather than going through everything in the level and eliminating the pieces you already got.
Sadly I don't remember the exact process of doing so since its been awhile, but I remember doing so for a few FM's,for example I know I used it for Gervasius's Archery Tournament to find the missing piece was a small gold ring next to a chair in a hedge maze.
I believe the process involves loading the mission then loading your most recent save file for that mission then having it generate a report or something and narrow it down to loot then have it highlight every instance of the that object in the mission which then will make bright pink wireframe spots appear all over the map indicating pieces of loot. Then you can click on them and press if I recall correctly one of the Function keys which will teleport you to location of that item which you view in the in-game view window. You load the save game so it only shows the pieces you haven't collected.

Actually there was a program for that years ago. It was a separate program that you ran. It was called thief loot locater or something like that. it should come up in a search. I actually had it for a bit but lost it after reinstalling windows 10.

Best I could find was this (

That may be it. I remember being able to get a list of locations. I could be wrong as it has been a long time and I am getting up there in years.
