In-game Interface problem

Firstly, Hi to all, first foray into the forum....

Secondly, managed to get SS2 working fine on my XP machine, with the safe_texture thingy...

Also, got the Rebirth and SHTUP mods loaded, so SS2 looks very pretty as well!

But I have a major problem - when i go into the user interface in-game, i can't 'Use' any objects..i currently have Mouse2 mapped to that function, but no matter what i map to it, it just doesn't work??

I've had a good look round but can't find any similar problems.....any help anyone, please?!?!

I remember two people having this problem, one of them got a solution.

erk - just had a look at a few people in the past with similar problems...looks like a new install of the game is in order....

just got the blinkin thing working, and got to start again....

As far as I remember, several people complained about this type of problem already, and it had something to do with changing the default key bindings. Reverting to the default bindings usually solves the problem. Here's a couple of threads about this (there are several more):

Problem solved - a full reinstall did it.

Being a leftie i usually have to mess around with key configs.

I'll be sure to try out the various fixes outlined in the other threads should it all go a bit t!t wobbly again...
