When it rains in game, the gfx card behaves as if its being over clocked - ie. lots of vertices all over the place#
anyone else seen this..?

Yeah, sometimes. Happens to many people AFAIK. I think I got rid of that by changing some settings in the ini file, while tweaking the game.

Happens to me every once in a while. Usually I end up restarting the game to get rid of it.

I have never seen it before, and I'm pretty far into the game.
(knock on wood)

The last time I heard, it was speculated that it was being caused by changing graphics settings without restarting the game.

Happens to me too once in a while; and I restart the game when I'm annoyed enough by it to want it to stop.
Though, now that I think of it, I don't remember it happening at all since I installed the first patch. Hmmm, I'm not sure it hasn't occured on the patched version; but it's been awhile since I've seen it. So my guess is that it has not happened since patching up. Definately saw it often enough on the unpatched game (probably at least once per play session).

My game is patched, and it still happens from time to time.

hmmmm
Took long enough for the game to come out you think woth the poached code from HL and Doom they would have fixed this particular issue..

poached code from HL and Doom?
D'Arcy on 1/5/2007 at 16:27
I think it was already established that there were no textures 'poached' from HL2 or D3, they simply got them from the same people who also sold them to those other two.
