Duane Black, a gifted actor in our company who was diagnosed with cancer just last month, died today.
Here's a recent article about his efforts to save lives even as his own was dwindling:

He was a sweet, gentle man who had a real passion and joy for the beauty of life. He had a particular love of nature and of animals, likely a reflection of his proud Native American heritage. I am grateful that he poetically captured that spirit with his camera:

I hope you find these pictures as inspiring as I have. Many of them were taken right here in Alabama a mere few hundred feet from my door and when I look at them I'm amazed at just how much beauty is surrounding us that I think most of us neglect everyday. I'm thankful that he vicariously let me recognize it anew through his eyes.
I deeply regret that I didn't get to know him better. I think that likewise we to often take it for granted that the people we see everyday will always be there tomorrow.
RIP, Duane. You are greatly missed.

Unfortunately Greyhound are treated by some so bad. Just used for their racing life and then dumped
